Hubert Nathaniel Critchlow Monument

The Hubert Nathaniel Critchlow Monument is situated on the lawns of the Parliament Building. It was revealed on December 2,1964 by the then premier of Guyana, [Cheddi Jagan]. The bronze sculpture was designed by Edward Burrowes.

This monument is a tribute to Hubert Nathaniel Critchlow, the father of the Trade Union movement in Guyana. The bronze sculpture of the late trade unionist is mounted on a two metre high pedestral.
